My wife and I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Erik. He was a wonderful person and a good friend to my wife and me. I met Erik on an offshore rig in Indonesia and was delighted to find out we lived on the same road in Lowestoft. That was the beginning of a long and fulfilling friendship with Erik and his late wife Edna that laste just over 40 years. He will be greatly missed by both of us, and all who were lucky enough to have him in their life.
